Finland - Tampere to Helsinki

Just before the Tampere Cathedral was built the Russian Empire's Russification policy aimed to limit the special status of the Grand Duchy of Finland and terminate its autonomy. This did not go over well with the Finnish people and caused the rise of national romanticism. Tampere Cathedral was the result of this new national spirit.
